ULI BC: Southeast False Creek Walking Tour
Lowered Fees – Register Today!
Increasingly, the ability of community builders to deliver on health is translating into market value for projects. The ULI Building Healthy Places Toolkit outlines recommendations that can be used to promote health at the building or project scale, and shape vibrant, highly desirable communities. The Southeast False Creek neighbourhood serves as a model case study for these initiatives, and is already seeing the return as it quickly evolves into one of Vancouver’s most thriving communities.
Join ULI BC as Rachel MacCleery of the Urban Land Institute, Chris Reid of Shifting Growth and Derek Lee of PWL Partnership take us on foot through the Southeast False Creek neighbourhood, guiding us through the healthy initiatives at the heart of this community. From enticing pedestrian streetscapes and public space, to the integration of urban agriculture, learn how these initiatives can be used to generate value.
The tour will conclude at The Steel Toad Brewpub, where our speakers and attendees can network and build on the conversation from the event, as well as enjoy free appetizers and one free drink.
