Webinar – Mixed-use and Urban Redevelopment: Two Case Studies
Complimentary Webinar for ULI members!
ULI is offering a complimentary webinar exclusively for members and the media featuring two mixed-use case studies.
Wednesday, September 16 at 11:00 a.m. ET
For large urban sites in need of redevelopment, a mixed-use approach is becoming increasingly essential. Creating a whole new place on a site with dated or obsolete buildings requires not only the addition of many uses and activities, but also great urban design, creative and patient capital, and a long-term outlook. Moreover, regeneration is not just an urban phenomenon; increasingly it occurs in suburban areas as well.
This webinar will discuss the challenges and opportunities that developers and designers encounter when developing large-scale mixed-use projects on redevelopment sites. The webinar will feature presentations and discussions related to two recently developed projects on two different continents: CityCentre in Houston, Texas, involving the redevelopment of an obsolete suburban retail mall and the creation of a new mixed-use town center; and King’s Cross in London, involving the regeneration of a transit-oriented, former rail and industrial site and the establishment of a new mixed-use center in the heart of London.
