ULI BC – YLG Cascadia Regional Conference 2013

This past weekend, the ULI British Columbia Young Leaders Group hosted the Fifth Annual YLG Cascadia Regional Conference.  Approximately 100 participants from Vancouver, Seattle and Portland attended the conference, which featured a lively keynote presentation and TEDex talk by Rollin Stanley, General Manager for Planning, Development & Assessment with the City of Calgary. Along with our keynote speaker, we had great line up of panelists to further explore and share thoughts on our theme “(Re)Building the City” as well as offered our attendees multiple networking opportunities. Over the two day conference, walking tours of three Vancouver neighborhoods and three suburban cities undergoing extensive redevelopment provided participants with firsthand knowledge of some of Vancouver’s recent development projects and future development potential. Participants concluded the conference by basking in the beautiful summer weather at a Vancouver Whitecaps MLS game held at BC Place Stadium.   We look forward to once again showcasing Vancouver’s development opportunities and our beautiful city during the ULI Spring 2014 meeting in April next year.
